The other day my sister sent me a text swooning over a breakfast smoothie she made. She insisted that I should make it right away to experience the goodness of this delectable smoothie. I was drooling just from reading the list of ingredients she used and could not wait to make it myself! I never quite knew what to do with them when I was first introduced to them. Recently, I have been seeing more and more recipes where this delicious, beloved fruit is incorporated. Just the other day my hubby sent me this New York Times article on Thanksgiving dishes around the country. And voilà another persimmon dish! The use of coconut oil in this granola adds a scrumptious flavor while adding tremendous health benefits such as boosting your metabolism, blood sugar control and it is a heart healthy fat when eaten in moderation, of course. Goji berries are packed with anti-oxidants so they're considered a superfood and super good for you.
